Biography
Barblina Meierhans creates works in the disciplines of contemporary music and sound art.
She studied
composition, violin, viola, experimental music theatre and transdisciplinarity. In her composition method, she has been inspired by the composition method of Prof. Mark Andre and Prof. Manos
Tsangaris. Mainly, her works have been played in
Europe and were part of, among others, the Lucerne Festival (CH), Spor Festival (DK), Münchener Biennale (DE), Wittener Tage für
neue Kammermusik (DE), November Music (NL), Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival (GB), Ultraschall Berlin (DE), Festival Archipel (CH), Festival Internacional de
Musica Tacec (AR), New Talents Biennale Cologne (DE) and Tonlagen
Festival Dresden (DE). She has received several scholarships and awards.
For some time past, Barblina Meierhans
became involved on different levels in the fields of teaching and she has given workshops.
