Verlorene Form
sound installation (2016)
The basic idea of this work is the piano tone as such, which, from a physical point of view, is always formed by the attack and, as a sound event, depends exclusively on the attack. This inescapable fact served me as a source of inspiration. In the sound installation “Lost Form” I dare a leap into utopia by taking the liberty of ignoring this same unavoidable fact and for material, using only the reverberation of the piano notes. What does form mean in this case? And does it come about?
